Extending  the life of your pearl is of utmost importance.

1.Everyday Use

Acid damages pearls, and after a few hours human persipiration begins to work on the pearl. It advisable to use a chamois or soft cloth to wipe pearls after wearing them.

 2. Chemicals

Detergent, perfume and makeup harm pearls too. Pearls should not be cleaned wth any form of detergent at all.Apply your makeup before putting on the pearls.Care must be taken whe applying perfume to make sure it does not come in contact with your precious pearls.

3.Storage

Pearls are referred to as "soft" when comparing them with other precious gems such as diamonds or rubies , they scratch easily when in contact with other jewelry so they should always be stored seperately.
